Having problems with your 1998 Mercury Mountaineer ?

I have a mercury montaineer 1998 4.0 motor and my friend was trying to change the temperature sensor and the part where the sensor was in broke and he has been trying to find it but he hasnt had any look. Can you please help?

Answers :

The temp sensor screws into the thermostat housing. that may need to be replaced if you cant get the sensor out.
