Having problems with your 1998 Mercury Tracer ?
No hot air from vents and defroster. What causes this?
Answers :
It most likely that your thermostat has failed and is stuck open which isnt letting your coolant get up to a normal operating temperature. I would try replacing it. Your best bet is to go to an auto parts store and buy a repair manual and thermostat and do it yourself. Just be sure to follow the steps closely. You will need to drain and refill the coolant also. Hope this helps!
