Having problems with your 1998 Nissan Altima ?

1998 Nissan Altima -Trying to check and see if the clutch on the compressor is or isn't kicking on. On my GMC the pressure switch on the Accumulator is 2 wire and easy to bypass. The Nissan has 4 wires, can I bypass it? R134A is at correct level. Have A/C set on MAX A/C but compressor isn't starting.

Answers :

Using a power probe or a test light, you have to check to see if you have power running to the clutch first. If yes, then the wire to the clutch is usually grounded to the compressor itself, so you find it by working backwards from the ground. Hope this helps.
