I have come across this problem many times, first and very important. check key for wear, if worn excessively make a new key but "DO NOT" use the old key to make new one, get key code from dealer. this may solve your problem sometimes. if not then you need to put a battery charger and turn key to "ON" position for about 20-30 minutes, this is done so that the body control module re-programs and recognizes the key cut again. the second to last procedure is to change the key cylinder and redo the reprogram procedure, sometimes the B.C.M. (body control module) is corrupt and needs replacement and re-programmed
