Trouble with alarm of Pontiac Grand Prix SE

\015 Hello. I have trouble with the alarm of the Pontiac Grand Prix SE 98. I need to desactivate the alarm to turn-on the car. I was look for a button to do it, but I didn't find it. \302\240May you help me?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 12-11-2018

I will assume your alarm system is factory installed, which makes it a passive system. This being said there has to be a "valet" switch for the alarm system. it will be one of two places, first check the obvious and look at the dash panel under the steering wheel, there might be a pushbutton kill switch there, or a rocker switch of sorts. If no luck there, the blinking status light that is on your dashboard might be the switch itself. Try "GENTLY" pushing it in. if it does push, the red light will start to double blink, this is normal. If neither of these solve it, call yoru local dealer and ask them where the switch is. Good Luck
