Under the dash below the glove box
\015\012if the blower motor is inop then
\015\0121st check for power on the purple wire at the blower motor
\015\012if it has power then you need a blower motor
\015\012if it does not have power then replace the resister
\015\012located beside the blower motor5-7 wire connector
\015\012TRICK TO REMOVING THE RESISTER
\015\012you will see 2 goldish colored bolts they are 5.5mm remove them
\015\012now the TRICK
\015\012there is a 3rd bolt you can't see pull down then pull towards you
\015\012this will BREAK THE RESISTER OR SLIDE OFF THE BOLT
\015\012then when the resister is out LOOSEN THAT BOLT OFF
\015\012the resister is slotted slide the NEW RESISTER in the bolt you just loosened then tighten the other 2 leave the hiden bolt loose
\015\012hope this helps
My blower went to HI speed and would not cut off when i turned off the engine? It ran for 30 min before i started pulling fuses and finally shut off when i pulled the 60A fuse for the HEADLIGHTS??? This is for a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix.
