Fumes inside 1998 subaru forester

\015 On hot days I sometimes smell fumes inside when I get into my car after it has been sitting out in the desert sun. Other times, when the vents are open I smell fumes inside my car at lower temps while driving. This problem has been with me for a several years, but has gotten worse in summer and particularly bad this summer. Recently, half way up a long steep mountain after driving 100 miles with the AC on with no problem, I smelled heavy fumes at a lower outside temperature right before the check engine light came on and stayed on. Within the last month I had the carbon canister and one of the solenoid valves changed and the lines cleaned after the check engine light coded a 1440. This time the code was 1441. I recently changed the gas cap, the purge solenoid was changed 3 years ago along with carbon canister, and 2 years ago I had the fuel filler pipe replaced. Nothing has fixed this problem.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 17-09-2018
