How change a belt - 1998 Toyota Corolla

Answers :

The serpentine belt of the 98 corolla is difficult to get to cause theres so little room between the engine and the fender wall, but at the top of the engine on the passenger side, theres a small, black and silver compression spring, two bolts through it follow it down to the tensioner pulley, my bolt on the tensioner pully was stripped so i removed the compression spring assembly completely, yeah its tuff, but possible, if you can avoid it, then avoid it, but thats the key to getting that belt off or on. hope this helps good luck
