2000 volkswagon jetta engine noise and new plugs skipping

\015 My 2000 Jette 4cyl makes a loud chattering/clanging noise only when the car is in gear and accelerating. It does not make the noise in park even when you give it gas. The noise starts at about 20 miles per hour and is very loud when first starting the engine until it warms up. Also, I just had new bosch platinum plugs put in because the engine light started coming on and the free test at autozone says 3 plugs were mis-firing. After the new plugs were put in it worked ok for two days and then started misfiring again. I brought it to a guy that only works on Volkswagons and he said two of the plugs were not set right and he re-set them( also all the plug wires were replaced). A couple of days later the engine light came back on I had it checked at Autozone again and it read that plugs 1 and 2 were misfiring again. Now the car is actually running rougher in addition to the engine noises.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 14-10-2019
