Having problems with your 1999 Chevrolet Corvette ?

99' Corvette will not start

\015 Hi, my 99' corvette has been sitting in a garage for about a year now. This morning - out of sheer curiosity - I tried to start it. To my luck, it did not start. A friend of mine told me it was either a battery issue, or something wrong with the alternator. I was hoping to get some advise on how to repair it, if it was an electrical issue?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 02-12-2019

If it's been sitting for a year without being started, I can almost guarantee the battery is dead. At the very minimum you are going to need to either have that battery charged or replaced. I would replace it if it was me, I'm not sure it will even hold a charge after that length of time unused. If the alternator was working properly before you parked the car, it's probably still ok. Nice car by the way, I had a Torch Red 98 Vette and now drive a 03 Anniversary Red Vette. Good luck.
