Having problems with your 1999 Chevrolet Lumina ?

Check engine light stays on

\015 I had a guy come over and install a new radiator cuz i had a radiator leak.\015\012On \302\240a 1996 chevy lumina there are engine brackets that hold the engine to the car basically. when u unbolt those brackets the engine shoots back. so while trying to pull the engine back after fixing the radiator the guy broke one of the fuel injectors and had to replace it. im not really sure if he put it back in right because ever since that has happened the car hasnt been running right. It drives really sluggish and now the check engine light is on and i smell gas a little when i cut the car on. i have no idea whats wrong with it and i would really appreciate it if someone could help me.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 25-10-2021

You might check the injector that replace check for leakage make sure that you put the o ring cause if not it make a leak that causing your complain or look for a leak in the fuel lines maybe you hit something and it could leak in the engine bay and burn that is why it smell like gas always double check your work to make sure that you eliminate the complain..
Take it to a parts store like Autozone or Advance. Also any maintenance shop. They can run a check on the engine light to get a code. The code will tell you what the computer thinks is the problem. My Toyota, it was the oxygen sensor, which looks like a spark plug and is attached to the exhaust system. I would also just look around and see if there is something else that is not connected. Could be a wire connection or a hose, a loose vacuum hose can make a big difference in the performance.
