Having problems with your 1999 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup ?

Engine running hot

\015 My truck is running hot. I turned on the heater and fan on high as that is normally what you do when the thermostat is stuck. Well the heater would get hot then it would just be air. then it would get hot for a few minutes.\015\012\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-08-2019

My 2000 S-10 starting developing overheating problems 5 yrs ago. The antifreeze seems to thicken and clog up my radiator. I had to flush out system and replace thermostat several times. I was told i had rust in my engine block which is causing this. It makes me sick that I bought this truck new and starting having problems at 30k miles.
Sounds like your antifreeze level is low. When it flows you get hot air and when there's an air bubble due to lack of antifreeze all you'll get is air.
