Having problems with your 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ?

Rear brake job

\015 I have a 1999 chevy silverado k1500 1/2 ton, 4wd, old style body,5.3 engine, extra cab. Can you walk me through the relpacement of the rotors and pads and any thing else I might need to know. Pull the two bolts holding the caliper on and pull the caliper off now get a C clamp and compress the piston all the way into the caliper now remove the two bolts in the caliper hanger and remove the hanger now the caliper should just pull off ( if corroted hit it with a hammer ) now just put every thing back to gether the way they came off...............WHEN DONE WITH THE BRAKE JOB MAKE SURE TO START THE TRUCK AND PUMP THE BRAKES UNTIL THE PEADLE IS HARD. YOUR PEADLE WILL GO RUTE TO THE FLOOR AT LEAST ONE TIME MAYBE MORE.
