Having problems with your 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ?

I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 thats just turned over 100,000 miles. For the past few months, I sometimes have to bump the starter more than once (maybe three times) to start it. I've changed the plugs already and have run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner through it. No change.

Could be your fuel pump - try this. When cold, turn the key on, but don't start it. Do this 4-5 times, cycling the key back and forth - this will build up the fuel pressure. If it starts on the 4th or 5th cycle, probably the fuel pump. The check valve in the pump has gone bad. Fuel pump's an easy change if you take off the bed - another discussion.
A common problem is if the fuel pressure regulator leaks internally. This causes fuel pressure to bleed down over time and makes it hard to start the vehicle if it has been sitting for usually more than a few hours. Sounds like that could be what you are dealing with.
