There is a divert valve to con trol the flap directing the air flow thru the evaporator so you can get the air in AC mode. When the valve directs the air going thru the heater core you get hot air. The problem now is that your valve is not working. It is staying at a defaulf position directing air passing thru heater core. This is why are you enjoying the unwanted heat. Good luck in fixing it. At least now you know the problem so no one can fantacizing the work for over charged.
