If this is for the Factory RKE ( Remote Keyless Entry ) fobs, the procedure is in the 2001 and newer owners manuals ( your OM would have text similar to "take it to the dealer with all remotes" or similar ).
The procedure is a easy process, but I had to try 3 times to enter programming ( thought I did it the same all 3 times, but obviously I did not ), so do not get discouraged if you do not enter programming mode the 1st time.
