Having problems with your 1999 Ford Taurus ?

What happens when my car won't hold a charge

\015 When I parked the car, it lost its charge. After getting a jump to the battery the car started but while driving, I noticed that the electronic components were not working...the radio, cigarette lighter, speedometer, etc. There was no charge but the car continue to run...very slowly. Also, when I tried to accelerate, it would not accept it so I coasted home, approximately 10 miles. I got home and the windows would not go up. Please help.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 17-09-2018

Answers :

It can be either voltage regulator, alternator or the battery is not holding a charge. Start with the regulator first it is the cheapest. most parts houses will test your electrical system for free.
