Having problems with your 1999 GMC Jimmy ?

1999 GMC Jimmy won't start.

\015 My Jimmy starts one day then won't start other days.\015\012\015\012I cannot hear the Fuel Pump charge the system when I turn the key.\015\012\015\012I have found the Fuel Pump fuse but I cannot find out how to check it if it is good or bad.\015\012\015\012The next step would be to check the Fuel Pump Relay.\015\012\015\012Is there a way that I could check and change my Fuel Pump Relay easily without going to the garage?\015\012\015\012Please help!!\015\012\015\012i have a remote starter and factory alarm also. i turn the key to on the pump is not heard and my rear brake light also turns on with pump niether do\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-12-2018

Swapping relays is the easiest way to check. I'm not sure what is meant\015\012by "the correct way" as stated above. A DVOM is used to check the\015\012resistance, such as recommended on a Mitsubishi; it should be between 40 and 120 Ohms bteween partular pins and\015\012over 10,000 on others. GMs can be commanded with a scan tool to run,\015\012but isn't an effective way to check it. They recommend a jumper and\015\012test light procedure. Therfore, " the correct way" depends on what you\015\012have, and you would need to BClear.
