Having problems with your 1999 GMC Suburban ?

1997 suburban 2wheel drive when i put it in drive doesnt want to

\015 When i put it in drive it feels almost like it is half way in park more so if i put it in 1st gear manualy once it in drive and after i get going about 20 or so it drives like normal and if i put it in neutral if i give it throttle it will go a little bit almost 10 mph almost like 1st gear is half in park and neutral is half in 1st gear all other gears work fine if im in 1st gear and let off the throttle it feels like im putting on the brakes slows down real quick like but the rpms while gassing it in 1st they dont whinned out like if the tranny is slipping it only goes to like 20 ya know like i can feel the straine on the motor just looking for advise hoping its a electrical problem not a tranny\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 08-08-2022

Unless you have run over something or something has hit the linkage that you may possibly repair to adjust the gear locations to their proper place on the trans, you must get trans checked out.
