Having problems with your 1999 Kia Sportage ?

I can't find the camshaft position sensor. I don't know much about this stuff. I have went to auto zone and advance auto and heard 3 different stories. Came home and tore the car down 3 different places and still couldn't see anything that looks like what they r trying to sell me. Can u explain were I need be??

The cam shaft position sensor is located right behind the exhaust cam by \015\012the fire wall. It is held by two 10 mm bolts, one on each side of the \015\012sensor. If you got the hood up and looking at the engine the cam that is\015\012 on the right hand is the exhaust cam. To get to the CPS you have to \015\012remove the intake and cam top cover.
I done a diesel one a wekk ago and the sensor was on the head about a third of the way from the front of the engine ,Just do not see petrol ones here not a over 5 dollars a gallon
