Having problems with your 1999 Pontiac Bonneville ?

My 1999 bonneville will not start. When I turn the key over, it does absolutely nothing. The whole electrical system went dead. It will make a noise even with the key out of the ingnition like it is electrical in nature. If I put it on accessory, the clock will come on but this is deadened if I try to use the power seats, windows. Not sure what is going on here

Well, the first thing to check is the battery, if you do not have the tools to do this yourself, you can have it done free at most automotive parts stores. If the battery is dead then see if it will take a charge. If it does not then you need to replace the battery and that may be all it is. If it does take a charge then see if it maintains the charge - if not, then you most likely have a faulty alternator. If your battery has a good charge and the symptoms persist then check the connections and wires to the battery and alternator.
