1999 grand am is overheating

\015 I replaced the thermastat. still over heats checked all the hoses. the water pump does not leak . the hose that goes down from the thermastat to the radiator beats itself to death.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 21-09-2020

Answers :

The hose that coming from the thormestat to the radiator will beat itself or get hard from to much pressure because the radiator is clogged and the coolant can't circalte so it holds back, flush the radiator the way it should and that should fix the problem
Beats itself?? I really dont know what that means. the cooling fan should come on when the a/c is on. when the engine is hot, the radiator should be hot. turn the a/c on and feel the air coming through, it should be HOT, if not, there is a coolant flow problem.
