Having problems with your 1999 Volkswagen Jetta ?

1999 volkswagon Jetta TDI no power

\015 I have a 1999 volkswagon jetta TDI (older style) the car only seems to reach a top speed of 120 kph and won't go any faster, recently I blew a turbo oil line and had it replaced, could this have something to do with it?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-12-2018

Answers :

Sometimes the intakes will fill up with coke or carbon and basically block out air from getting to cylinders this can be cleaned out but is time consuming
[yes ]is the simple answer, a turbo starved of engine oil pressure even for a short period of time can blow the turbo; fit a new or a good second hand turbo.[hint]when testing a second turbo put your finger inside the turbo and spin it .a good turbo should spin quite easly for 3/4seconds with no noise.hope this helped you.adrian
