Having problems with your 1999 Volkswagen New Jetta ?

2001 VW tdi 1.9 ALH engine fuel line taking in air Hard start

\015 Lots of air in fuel line causing hard start, when she starts very little bubbles flow through and she runs great, once i stop the car will start right up if i let it sit for a while bubbes will accumulate, more bubbles with time causing hard start again. Since the problem i have changed the fuel filter and the 2 o rings on the t fitting first day got better and next day back to air in line this is a 2001 1.9 tdi ALH engine there is also no sign of leak oil/dirty spots on line \015\012 Anythought will help Thanks Nick\015\012\015\012I have the same problem than haubound412 on my jetta tdi 991/2 400k km. I made some test and i think that the supply line suction air from the return line. Check before starting you engine if you see air in supply line. If air is present, remove the supply line from the injection pump and put a vaccuum hand pump on the injection pump. Put vaccuum and check if the vaccuum drop. If it's the case your injection pump don't close tight. Maybe because the shut valve in the injection doesn't close good. Maybe it have another one way valve in the injection pump. My problem is intermittent so i think that probably a little bit of dirt come into the injection pump and some valve don't close tight. I search information if it is possible to repair the injection pump in place. I prefer this than remove the injection pump. Tell me if you solve your problem.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 12-08-2019
