Having problems with your 2000 Cadillac DeVille ?

Problems with my cadillac

\015 I had a block test done twice and it came out good problem is my car still overheats. I had a mechanic look at it and said the temperature sensor is bad. My car runs smooth doesnt have trouble starting but after 15 min is when the temp starts rising. With this is mind he said he spoke with a head mechanic from a cadillac dealership who said that fixing the sensor wouldn't help it must be a cracked or bad head gasket. Everyone says northstar engines are known for that. Prior to that I had another mechanic look at it and said maybe I just need a flush..although he never called me back. Does anyone have any ideas or know anything about cadillac devilles that could offer me some insight? I am baffled and do not have the money to take it to the dealership I keep trying to work with local mechanics but in the end no one wants to take this problem on? Also we have put a new radiator, water pump and hose, thermostat and by passed the heater core.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 21-05-2018
