Problem with windows and radio

\015 I have a 2000 Camaro, the electric windows and radio do not work. I noticed the fuse for the windows kept getting very hot. Tried replacing. The windows and radio would work for a while and then stop again. Now neither the windows or radio will work at all.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 30-03-2020

I had the same trouble. It began as an intermittent problem, then began to be more frequent and longer in duration. Due to suggestions elsewhere on this site, I took out the BCM from under the dash behind the glove compartment, and one of the relay's feet had faulty soldering connecting it to the BCM (Body Control Module) board inside. I heated up the solder and added some more solder to the connexion, and now the problem is gone. I think they must have had a bad batch of BCMs run through the factory back about ten or so years ago, because this problem appears to be common. Be very careful you don't accidentally add too much solder because it might short out some other circuit on the circuit board and fry some other equipment. Hope this helps.
Sounds like you may have fualty wiring that would be a pain to trace the source. Have you tried using a slightly bigger fuse? Would suggest more than 5 amps.
If you have an ohmmeter and a bunch of time, you can test all the wires and see if you are getting a short or overload somehwere.
