Turn signal not working

\015 Hazard flashers work. shorted the contacts from power to the signal line, can get the signal to work but not with the switch. changed the switch but the same problem. momentary contact, then nothing, on both switches. any ideas on what could be causing this problem? where can i get the wiring for the turn signal for this car? Thanks in advance.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 22-07-2019

Does the light turn on then not blink? Do all signals do the same thing? Front and rear? Left and right? Electrical problems can be found by tracing problems back from the loads and eliminating them each component in the circuit until you reach the source itself (battery).
\015\012Example: Start with the bulbs, replace them. It's cheap. Then inspect the sockets, how are the contacts? Corroded? Burnt? Move on to the wiring, broken? Pinched? Disconnected? Next are the relays in the fuse box. There cheap too, replace those. They can be tested, listen for a click when voltage is applied. Check the fuses in the multiple fuse locations, replace if needed. The switch itself should have been the lst thing since it probably set you back about $80.00 and required the steering wheel tobe removed. This is also called a "multi-function switch". It combines several components for easy replacment, but a higher cost, even if only one thing has failed. (Thank you GM.)
