Having problems with your 2000 Chevrolet S-10 ?

I have a 2000 s-10 pickup manual transmission. All accessories operate but engine won't crank sometimes. Thinking it may be a safety switch on the clutch but don't know where to find it.

\015\012Even I had a similar problem with my Suzuki. What it turned out to be was a defective bendex. It is a part of the starter motor that rotates and moves forwards to engage the flywheel to rotate it (flywheel). Thats how the engine cranks. And then disengages when you turn/leave after the car starts the key. I got it repaired and it still functions perfectly after four months as it did not have a major defect. So could be in your case too. It takes about an hour to do it. But needs special knowledge and some tools to fine tune it. So I would recommend help from the garage.
