You need to make sure you get all the air out. There are 2 bleeder screws on this vehicle.I open them up when I am filling the cooling system up and when coolant starts to come out I close them.Usually the one by the radiator hose will come out first then the one on the bypass pipe just above the water pump.I also usually replace the thermostat when I have the intake out because it is not easy doing it with the intake in.My question to you is why did you replace the intake gaskets? Was it leaking internally or externally?Make sure you have all the air out first and let me know what happens.Good luck.
