Replacing door window motor

\015 The drivers door window has grinded to a halt. I believe there is power to the motor so I assumed the motor needs replacing. Is it a simple job for a non mechanic?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 15-10-2018

Answers :

I have replaced about 8 window motors between mine and friends and neighbors.
\015\012To solve the immediate problem of the window being down: If you can: reach in between the rubber seals where the window goes between going down and pinch the top of the window lifting it up. If not you will have to take the inside door trim panel off inorder to push the window back up. Before taking the door trim off: Sometimes: banging on the inside door area (mid section) while push the window up button will activate a window motor enough to engage it, to bring the window up.
\015\012To answer your question: yes it is easy to replace. About 2-hours from start to finish.
