Usually if there is oil coming from the pcv valve, It's a piston ring problem. Let me explain. Piston rings worn=blowby, blowby=pressure in the crankcase, pressure in the crankcase tries to come out any hole it can. Does it smoke blue smoke out the tailpipe? This is a good indicator of ring damage. If it doesn't smoke, and its hard to tell where the oil is coming out, this is what I do. Take it down to the local car wash with some heavy duty degreaser and some clothes you don't care about. Thoroghly spray degreaser on the whole engine, pulleys, inner fenders, etc., especially the greasy areas, pressure wash thoroughly, you'll get dirty, but its important everything gets clean, block, intake, valve covers, pulleys, transmission, everything. Drive the car home. Usually a short drive with a super clean engine will yield clues quickly. Take your trusty flashlight and start inspecting the engine like a CSI. Check around the pulleys, head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, intake, oilpan, go over it like you're solving a murder. You'll find where it's coming from. Change leaking gaskets and torque bolts to spec. If it still appears to be coming from pcv valve, try changing the grommet it pushes into. Hope this helps, please post your results or related questions.
Wash the engine at the quarter car wash. Get a dye at the auto parts store that is used to find engine leaks. You add it to the oil. It becomes visable under ultra vilolet light. Get a UV light bulb for your drop light ( not much money, probably at the hardware or autoparts store) and check the engine with the light after driving a short way. The leak will be very obvious and if you do this before the leak has had a chance to migrate all over it should lead you to the problem.
