Having problems with your 2000 Dodge Durango ?

2000 Durango 4.7l - Service engine light on, brought to AutoZone and they said either fuel cap or vacuum line leak. I replaced the cap but light still on. Does it need to be reset? If so can I reset it myself or do I need to bring it somewhere?

Answers :

Don't reset it! Get them to read the code!
Yes, it should be reset. Auto Zone usually offers to reset the code on something like that if you buy the part there. You can reset the code yourself. Remove the Negative battery terminal for 1 min and then reconnect it. That should reset the fault codes in the ECM.
