Having problems with your 2000 Ford Contour ?

At 10 to 20 miles per hour the car bogs down like it doesn't want to shift at less than 1/2 tank. changed maf didn't help

THe sock in the gas tank is most likely your problem. It is picking up sediments from the bottom of the tank. The best way to test this is put a fuel pressure gage on the line and monitor it while driving. The psi should be within the specifications, not only with a full tank, but with a low tank as well. If it doesn't maintain the proper psi, I would suggest have someone take the tank off for future inspection, and don't forget to change the fuel filter at this time also.
