Having problems with your 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty Super Cab ?

Ford F250 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel 1995 bucks and stalls periodically?

\015 The truck almost always starts again easily and may never do it again for the rest of the trip, or may 'buck" a few times but keep going. Some time it will not stall for days weeks at a time. We changed the fuel filter but it keeps doing it. Does this at different speeds but usually after a few miles. No patterns that I can detect regarding heat of vehicle, outside temps, front or rear gas tank, where I buy diesel fuel, etc.... Any idea what is causing this? As I pull my horses, this issue is pretty scary. Had our mechanic look at issue but as he he could not get the truck to do it again, he could not fix it.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 03-08-2020

This is the same problem I had with my F350 Super Duty. I had taken mine to the shop and 700.00 dollars later still no fix but I found a smart mechanic that told me about the "crank shaft sensor" located in the front of the engine about half way up. Its only 2 bolts but a bit of a ****** to get to. I paid $40.00 for the part and it fixed my problem. Just a bit of a warning~~my trucked started out with the "bucking"and such then graduated to completely dieing on the freeway so be careful. This is actually a Ford re-call on some makes and models. Good Luck! Hope this helps!
