Answers :

Trying to figure out if both the pulley and the tensioner need to come off or can i just remove the pulley.
The 2000 ford windstar came with two engines, im not sure what engine you have so i will show you two diagrams and tell you what the part is for each, if you have the 3.0 engine which will say that on the valve covor then the pulley in the back would be the waterpump and the waterpump would need to be replaced but i suspect that you have the 3.8 engine because if the pulley was that loose to throw a belt then you would be leaking coolant . so the 3.8 engine has the belt tensioner in the back and this is what normally goes bad on these, you will need to replace the tensioner or just the pulley, most of the time its the tensioner which comes with a pulley, i will enclose a picture of the tensioner and see if this is the part you are talking about good luck hope this helps.johnjohn2_78.gifjohnjohn2_76.jpgjohnjohn2_79.gif
