Having problems with your 2000 GMC Jimmy ?

Vehicle trouble 2000 jimmy gmc while driving home the 2 back wheels seized up and would not move. Had to get towed. Just prior to this happening noise from back end,it would go into gear but would not move due to wheels seized. No warning prior other than noise moments before . When unloading from the tow truck brakes felt down. Any idea as to what could be wrong?

Answers :

I think you may have a blown Rear Drive Axle due to lack of lubrication. It will be hit or miss if the housing is still usable. I would be against the problem being brakes as the likely hood of both wheels failing at once is extremely unlikely.
