Having problems with your 2000 Hyundai Accent ?

2000 Hyundai Accent GS, Auto Trans/ 1.5l sohc hiccups at idle and driving.

\015 Well, title states it all. I notice that once started and idling, my accent idle RPMs will drop below 800, to around 500-600, seemindly "hiccup" and rise back up to 1.2,1.5k rpms, and then fall back to either 800, or repeat it's hiccup cycle.\012\012My wife was driving it on the highway, and it had hiccuped itself into a stall mid-drive. This was at 70mph, 2.5k constant RPM.\012\012I've also had the car hiccup during acceleration, whenever I release the gas pedal (it doesn't happen every time, but it's still there.) Going up hill, and it feels almost like a transmission slip but I know it's not that.\012\012I've replaced spark plugs, wires, even went as far as replacing my fuel pump and filter. I've applied seafoam to my gas tank, as well as running it through my brake-booster vacuum line to clean my internal engine. It seemed to have worked at first, the car ran smoother overall and its hiccups were very soft. About a week later, they have returned.\012\012I'm suspecting either my TPS, or my coil packs are bad. I'll be getting software in the mail in about a week to test the ECM on my laptop, see what's really going on with my car, until then I want some input. Please help! Thank you.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 27-05-2019
