Having problems with your 2000 Hyundai Tucson ?

Heat related transmission problem on Galloper (not given in list).

\015 1998 Galloper being driven yesterday on 500 km blacktop journey in the heat of Arabia developed "kangaroo petrol" symptoms at 200 km. External temperature was above 40C and rose to over 50C while problem became worse. Problem disappeared when temperature fell to below 39C as sun set and did not reappear on return journey during darkess. Obviously this is heat related but what was/is wrong?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 06-04-2020

Answers :

Transmission oil level low is the biggest cause of transmission overheat as well as road surface temp. Air flow over radiator and under vehicle. All air deflectors under front must be in place and not damaged. Avoid overdrive in hig temp conditions. Stay in third gear.
