Having problems with your 2000 Jaguar S-Type ?

Cigarette lighter stopped working

\015 I've checked and there's no coin down inside the socket. I'm told by other on-line sources that the fuse is in the trunk fuse box...#5, 25 amps. There's no 25amp fuses in the trunk fuse box. It's a 2001 3.0 liter S-Type. If the lighter socket has gone bad, where can I get a new one?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 08-08-2022

Answers :

The cigarette lighter fuse is in the passenger compartment on right hand drive cars it is next to accelerator pedal under panel on right hand side the fuse is no 32 20 amps
I don't have electricval diagram for your S type, however found in the maintenance manual for my 99XJ8 that the fuse is under the rear seat on tha passenger side.

I managed to drop a "nickel" size battery for an electronic devise into my lighter and even though I removed it, it doesn't work. The fuse is not blown as I expected it to be. Guess I'll have to figuere out how to remove the socket to check it out
