Depending on the engine size of the car, the A/C compressor can require a lot of power, which would be like putting the vehicle in gear while the vehicle is stopped and the E-Brake on.

\015\012Without doing a full vehicle troubleshoot which could be expensive, the easiest way to overcome this is to speed up the timing slightly. (Note it will use a little more gas when the vehicle is not moving)

\015\012If you know a local mechanic it should not take long, or cost much money to speed up the timing to overcome this.

I would also have him do a compression check while he is under the hood. Very simple on most vehicles; take spark plug out, thread compression gauge in. Takes a little time is all.
