Having problems with your 2000 Lincoln Continental ?

Cannot compress rear brake caliper to put new pads on, any suggestions

Answers :

There is a special tool to do this, but maybe you can mount the caliper without the pads on and then use a piece of wood and a pry bar or screwdriver to press the wood against the piston and seat it. Then hurry to remove caliper, install pads and reassemble before it starts coming back out again.
