Having problems with your 2000 Lincoln LS ?

Oil in 2000 lincoln ls is 4 quarts low after only 3 months, now there is knocking in engine.

\015\012This noise can mean bad news, but, let's not panic and try something.
\015\012Some times when oil level gets too low, the lifters discharge and valves start making a quick knocking noise that doesn't quit even if the oil level is normal.
\015\012and increases when you step on the gas.
\015\012This happened to my friend's car and fix the problem adding a Valve Quiet oil additive, in a couple of minutes the noise was gone.
\015\012If this is not the noise you are hearing, take it to a mechanic shop for repair, preferably on a Tow Truck, because the more you run the engine, the more damage you can cause to it.

Sounds like you have some bad valve guides, valve stem seals, or piston rings. So the motor is burning oil. The noise is most likely from a rod bearing or a broken piston, due to the low oil. You'll need to rebuild or replace the motor, unfortunatly.
