I will guess that you want to change belts. There should be a pattern label in the hood opening area. If not, use a digital camera and take photos so you can install the belt correctly.
There is a part called a Tension pulley. There are shapes on its structure to install a wrench or socket to use to move the assembly. It is used to release tension so the belt can be slipped off. Then the spring inside is used to keep tension on the new belt.
Some of the pulleys are more convenient to use as the last place to slip the belt on. The top Alternator pulley is good, but it has grooves in it. Sometimes a smooth pulley is easier.
Know in advance that there are differences in the number of grooves in each belt. They are often represented by a 6V or 8V designation. Just watch that the replacement matches the old belt.
