If you have or (had) an ignition key with a chip in it, not the transponder type, then a good locksmith might be able to help. But, on second thought he will have to have the key or the key code.

\012You will empty your wallet trying to get a key made to match your key cylinder.

\012A dealer is going to be the best option. (Yikes) They can order and install a new lock cylinder, and code the keys that come with it to your car. It is also possible that by using your VIN # they may be able to get a key for your car from the factory.

\012DO NOT try to start the car with a plain key. It will set off the anti-theft system and nothing will work.
2 things either happened, one your key that you used at walmart to get cut was worn so the key wouldn't work in the ignition but since the doors are used less, the key would work in them, or, the ignition isn't the original, and its entirely a different key,, Now if you know for a fact that the key you had before worked in BOTH the doors and the Ignition, then the easiest thing to do would be to remove the inner door panel,, pop out the lock assembly, and take that to a locksmith and have him cut a new key,, However, your ignition may be worn to the point that even that key won't work in the ignition, and you'll be back where you started, so again, you have 2 choices, one get a new ignition w/ keys,, and replace that , or have the locksmith come to your car and dry cut a key for the ignition, I'm afraid either one you do is on the expensive side,
