Having problems with your 2000 Plymouth Neon ?

If not run my neon wont start the next day.

\015 I have a 2000 Plymouth Neon, that if not run every day, in the morning when i go to start it the battery is dead. Have changed the starter because that was bad, and alternator seems to be charging fine. Any solutions?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 15-07-2019

You have a phantom drain somewhere... a component that is not turning off when the vehicle is shut down (faulty relay).
\015\012This will take some time to sniff out.
\015\012I recommend getting a multimeter and set ut up on the battery.
\015\012Set it up and every hour or so, take note of the voltage.
\015\012Then - after recharging (short trip around the block) start removing fuses... one at a time.
\015\012Take an initial reading... then remove one fuse from the INSIDE cabin fuse panel.
\015\012After an hour, check the voltage. If the voltage dropped the same amount as the original test - replace that fuse, and go to the next.
\015\012Once you isolate the fuse that is causing the drain... you can determine what that fuse feeds, and check into the culprit.
\015\012It is a long, tedious process - but its the only surefire way to determine the cause, rather than replacing parts willy-nilly, and throwing money blindly at the vehicle.
