Having problems with your 2000 Pontiac Firebird ?

The turn signals on my 2001 pontiac formula firebird are not blinking. When I turn them on, they just stay lit. The bulbs burned out yesterday and I replaced them with 3057 Sylvania brand bulbs. The lights work fine when I put my flashers on.

You have two separate flasher devices on your car. One operates the flashers, and the other, usually located near the fuse area, operates the turn signals. A trip to your local Autozone or Advance Auto Parts, or for that matter most reputable parts house will give the exact location of turnsignal flasher, and they can supply a new one.
I just had the same exact problem on my 79 firebird formula.check your fuse panel and make sure the contacts are still decent.my problem was dead on with yours and it actually ended up being the signal flasher.which is located to the right of your steering column just above the brake pedal.you should see a 2 prong plug.just pull the old one out,and plug in the new flasher.if the bulbs turn on,but stay solid.it is DEFINITELY the flasher and not the switch or bulbs.
