Having problems with your 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix ?

2000 Grandpa Prix brake lights work - but the tail lights do

\015 That sums it up. It happened once before. Some mechanic had to track back all the wiring and it got really expensive. Any idea's on how I could do it myself? Or maybe a trick!\015\012\015\012Thanks\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 30-03-2020

The most common and simplest thing that can go wrong is the loss of the common ground to the lights. Look for a wire that goes from the lights to the steel body of the car. See if it's disconnected. Another check is to take a wire and hold it to a bare area of steel and then to the light base, not the red power wire. By the way ground wires are almost always black. The other thing to do is check the fuse in the main fuse box to see if it's burnt if so change it out with the same amperage.
