Having problems with your 2000 Pontiac Montana ?
We have a 2000 Pontiac Montana and it's overheating and has no heat. We have a fairly new (3 months old) radiator and the thermostat seems to be opening and closing, and the antifreeze is circulating when you have the radiator cap off. Any ideas??
Yes,You need to bleed the air from the cooling system, use the bleed valves, one is near the thermostat, and the other is on a pipe sticking up toward the front of the engine, make sure there is enough coolant in the system, and start and run the engine when it gets warm, not hot, open the bleeder near the thermostat, and watch for coolant, and air to come out, leave it open about 10 to 25 seconds, then close it and wait about 3 minutes or so,and bleed the other bleeder. You may have to repeat the process more than twice, and keep the coolant reservoir full.If this was helpful, please rate, thank you
