Having problems with your 2000 Subaru Forester ?

Just replaced the battery in my subaru forester and the lights won't stop flashing. I cannot locate the "reset button" under the steering wheel or anywhere on the dash. I don't have a key fob.

Sounds like the car is in "valet" mode. Probably defaulted to valet mode when it detected a sudden loss of power. To reset to normal mode, open the door, Press unlock/disarm button on remote key fob for 3 seconds. This should reset everything back to normal. Best of luck.
The key in the ignition and starting it should do the trick. After you start it the alarm will stop going off. Whenever the battery completely dies and you put power to it again the same thing will happen.
