Having problems with your 2000 Subaru Outback ?

My transmission slips ocassionally

First allow the engine and transmission to heat up to normal.
\015\012Then pull out the transmission dip stick and carefully make sure it has enough fluid. Put in fluid if needed.
\015\012If it still occurs then you still could have a fluid problem if it has not beenchanged in a long time. You can go to a garage and have them change the fluid. Might also want them to change the filter for the transmission fluid. To do so it is necessary to completely unbolt and remove the large transmission fluid pan. be sure to install a new filter inside there and also a new pan gasket.
